My current work involves abstract shapes that layer upon each other to create imagery suggestive of landscape. Initially based on the pastoral Midwestern landscape the images have begun to also include rural spaces around Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. I am simultaneously interested in the flatness generated by the color and the sense of space and perspective created by the abstracted forms.
